Ceremonies

I became ordained years ago to officiate family weddings. Since then, I have presided over the marriages of all three of my siblings. Over time, I crafted a method for writing and delivering lovingly personalized ceremonies that bring each couple’s story to life. Utilizing ethnographic and oral history interviewing techniques that I developed during my time pursuing a PhD, I take time to get to know couples before their event. In this way, I can design ceremonies that capture their voices and spirits, ceremonies that bring celebrants and their guests to laughter and tears, ceremonies that make everyone feel a bit more like family in the end.

Speaking over meaningful moments of transition is a rare privilege for me. I am available to officiate weddings, partnership ceremonies, birth blessings, funerals, memorial services, and more. I specialize in working with people of color, interracial couples and families, and LGBTQIA+ folks. I am excited to collaborate with you in creating a non-religious or religious ceremony that captures your unique spirit in this special moment of your life.
